Concept: A global celebration of the Real New Millennium utilizing QuickTime cross platform technologies: specifically QTVR panoramas, accompanying sound recordings and iMovies with moving pictures and sound (QuickTime movies).
Shoot date: 1/1/2001

Deadline for submissions: 2/20/2001
Theme: celebrating the Real Millennial change by photographically documenting and archiving personal and public events/location captures that occur within the first 24 hours of the New Millennium.
Subject options: Anything that is deemed important, special, significant, inspirational or otherwise emotionally moving or provacative as chosen by the Panographer or Videographer.
Timeframe: Panoramas, accompanying ambient sound files and iMovies must be captured any time within the first 24 hours of the first day of the new year on 1/1/2001, local time for the panographer/videographer and his or her location.
Media:
Both the web site and accompanying cd rom will use QuickTime panoramas and/or QuickTime movies/iMovies.
Use of music and/or sound effects created by others:
Such usage is permitted with inclusion of proof of written permission:
It is MANDATORY that in order to use music, clips of music, sound effects, etc. that were not created by you that you obtain written permission from the creator, producer, publisher, author, or owner of such.
You MUST be able to submit in .gif or .jpg format a scan of such written permission.
You will ask for permission to exhibit on the web and to have your completed work included on a cd rom which will be sold. No fees or licensing will be paid to any author or producer for such usage. Usage must be free and unencumbered or the inclusion of such work by others and used by you will not be allowed.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE - No permissions - no inclusion of the sound, music or whole mixed piece.

The Catch(s)/Rehash:
1) Only one entry per media per Panographer/Videographer (You may do one of each).
2) All panos will be a full 360 degrees - no partial panos
3) No multi nodes
4) Object Movies are ok as long as they spin a complete 360
5) Panographer will provide at least the following information for online presentation:

7) Company name
8) Country of Origin
9) Web address (if applicable)
10) email address
11) a brief description about their subject matter and the location of the shoot or in the case of those who would like to mix media to create their pano, a brief description of what the heck they were trying to accomplish and why.
By participating, the Wrinkler, by default, agrees to the following:
12) Participant agrees to certify that all visual images and recorded images and sounds were created by themselves between Midnight December 31st 2000 to Midnight January 1st, 2001 and that they are entitled to call these creations their own.
13) Participant agrees to assume full responsibility for using anyone else's copyrighted materials as part or all of their submission and absolves wrinkleintime.org of any and all responsibility or wrongdoing in such a situation.
14) Participant agrees to waive any monetary compensation for the use of these images, movies and sounds both in the online exposition and on an accompanying event cd rom (if it is deemed desireable to produce one).
15) Participant gives permission for the one-time publishing rights to wrinkleintime.org to produce both a web and distribute a cd rom with the Participant's images, video and sound files as it sees fit.
16) Participant agrees not to participate in any free cd tree distribution of this event.
17) Participant retains all ownership rights and subsequent publishing rights to their submissions after, during and outside of this event:
All QTVRs Shall Be Streamers - All iMovies will be compressed for streaming down here tentatively - QT / iMovies formatting still under development.

The Entry Fee:

Pre-production covenants:
It is acceptable to pre-build the following for QTVR Panoramas
1) masks
2) animation sequences
3) flash components
4) special sprite functions
5) stitching scripts or other scripts for building the final pano
It is acceptable to pre-build the following for iMovies/QT movies:
1) titling sequences
2) graphic components
3) music beds
It is acceptable to pre-compose, perform and record your own music or
midi tracks and additional sound effects for your Panorama or iMovie submission.
It is also acceptable to work towards obtaining written permission(s) for music usage or licensing of same, or same for recorded sfx usage from sources not created by the panographer.
Day of shoot stipulation: All photographs, digital, film or other image captures for building QTVR panoramas and all video sequences for iMovies MUST BE SHOT within the 24 hour period of the first day (your location local time) of 1/1/2001.
